// About · Rock Industrial Solutions Limited

Forensic Execution Intelligence.
No Fluff. No Proxies. Only Verified Work.

Rock Industrial Solutions Limited (RISL) is a forensic industrial reliability and maintenance consulting firm. We enforce execution standards, protect asset value, and eliminate maintenance leakage across Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Nuclear, Petrochemical, Mining, Utilities, and Manufacturing — in Canada, the Caribbean, and the United States.

About Rock Industrial Solutions Limited

Rock Industrial Solutions Limited operates under 2506854 Ontario Inc., registered in Ontario, Canada. RISL is not a staffing agency and not a general consulting firm. We are a forensic industrial reliability and maintenance governance practice — operating under a specific, documented execution standard applied identically across every engagement, in every jurisdiction.

Our mandate is simple: eliminate the gap between what maintenance plans say and what actually happens at the workface. That gap is where asset value is destroyed. RISL closes it.

// The Independent Eye — RISL Forensic Philosophy
"The problem with most industrial consulting is that the consultant never touches the equipment. RISL operates differently. Every engagement begins and ends at the workface. If it cannot be verified, it does not exist."
Power Generation
Steam cycle, gas turbine, combined cycle, cogeneration, nuclear-adjacent. ASME / TSSA / REGDOC-2.1.2 enforcement.
Nuclear
Safety culture (REGDOC-2.1.2), maintenance governance, and work execution oversight in nuclear-adjacent roles.
Petrochemical & Oil & Gas
Refining, upstream/downstream, process plant maintenance. API 570, ASME PCC-1, pressure system integrity.
Utilities
Water, wastewater, transmission, distribution. CSA and Ontario regulatory frameworks.
Mining
Processing plant, comminution, materials handling. Rotating equipment reliability, shutdown management.
Manufacturing
Heavy and light industrial. ISO 55001 asset management, PM programme development, contractor governance.
Education & Research
University and institutional facilities (e.g. University of Waterloo — Central Plant CBS). Boiler, HVAC, utility systems.
Caribbean Markets
Trinidad & Tobago, Guyana, Suriname. Oil & gas, petrochemical, utilities. Regional presence, international standards.

About the RISL Platform

The RISL Platform is two connected systems that serve different audiences and different purposes — but share the same forensic foundation.

IntegrationTraining competency records feed into Portal work execution — a technician trained on the platform can be validated against the same standards enforced in the Portal.
SHA-256 Anchor
Every fault report and work order is cryptographically hashed at creation. The hash cannot be retroactively altered.
30-Minute Barrier Rule
No work commences without a completed RFE Gate. Any gate failure triggers a 30-minute hold with automatic escalation.
10-Bucket Value Delta
Maintenance leakage quantified across ten cost categories. Baseline: $25K–$150K/hr downtime.
RFE Gates — Section 10
Ready for Execution gate validation per the RISL Playbook. Eight standards enforced. No gate bypass without documented authority.
Section 13 Breach Logic
Type A, B, and C breach declarations with escalation chains. ISO 31000-aligned. Breach records are permanent.
Work Plan Engine
Fault reports trigger corrective maintenance work plans. RISL reviews and approves before issue.

Frequently Asked Questions

For Site Visitors & Prospective Clients
What is the difference between the $49.95 training and the $2,497/mo portal?

Training ($49.95/trade): For individual tradespeople needing exam preparation. 25 trade and certification areas, 30-day access, 90% pass mark (95% for CMRT/CMRP/SMRP).

Portal ($2,497/mo): For organisations needing ongoing standards-enforced asset management. Includes fault reporting, work plans, PM scheduling, RFE Gate enforcement, SHA-256 audit anchoring, and the 10-Bucket Value Delta engine.

How does asset-based pricing work?

The base subscription is CA$2,497/month and includes up to 50 registered assets. Each additional asset beyond 50 is billed at CA$35/month. Annual billing options are available at a reduced rate.

What one-time services does RISL offer?
  • Master PM Plan: Full preventive maintenance programme development anchored to applicable standards.
  • Comprehensive Overhaul Package: Complete turnaround scope definition, job plans, hold-point schedules.
  • Asset Mapping & Criticality Ranking: Physical asset inventory and hierarchy documentation.
  • Forensic Site Assessment: Independent on-site evaluation with written findings report.
Do you serve clients in Canada and the United States?

Yes. RISL is based in Hamilton, Ontario. Active markets include Canada (Ontario focus), Caribbean (Trinidad & Tobago, Guyana, Suriname), and USA expansion is planned targeting Texas/Louisiana and Ohio/Gulf Coast.

How secure is my data?

JWT authentication with PBKDF2 hashing. All traffic encrypted via HTTPS. Client data isolated by client_slug. Every significant action written to a permanent AuditLog. SHA-256 fingerprinting on key documents. Data not shared, sold, or used for training.

For Existing & Potential Portal Clients
What happens if I exceed 50 assets?

You are notified automatically as you approach 50. The overage rate is CA$35/month per additional asset, billed at your next billing cycle. No service interruption occurs.

How does the 30-Minute Barrier Rule work?

No work order may transition to "In Execution" without passing the RFE Gate (8 standards validated). A gate failure triggers a 30-minute hold. If not cleared within 30 minutes, the event escalates automatically to the RISL Principal. All events are permanently logged.

What technical standards does the Portal enforce?
  • ASME PCC-1 — Bolted flange joint assembly
  • ISO 10816 / ISO 20816 — Vibration severity zones
  • ISO 55001:2024 — Asset management
  • TSSA — Ontario pressure vessel and boiler requirements
  • REGDOC-2.1.2 — CNSC safety culture
  • ISO 45001:2018 — Occupational health and safety
  • ISO 31000:2018 — Risk management
  • SMRP Best Practices — Maintenance and reliability metrics
What is the Cost of Inaction / Value Protected dashboard?

The Value Delta dashboard quantifies maintenance leakage across ten cost buckets including unplanned downtime ($25K–$150K/hr baseline), PM deferral-induced failures, contractor rework, regulatory breach consequence, and shadow labour. It models total asset value protected — not just work order closure rate.

How does the SHA-256 anchor work?

When a fault report or work order is created, a SHA-256 hash is generated from the document content at that moment and stored independently. At any future point the document can be rehashed and compared — any modification after creation produces a hash mismatch, flagging tampering. This creates a legally defensible chain of custody.

What support is included vs. optional Managed Service?

Included: Onboarding, 48-hour email response guarantee, all platform updates, standards library, work plan generation, checklist PDF generation.

Optional Managed Service: Principal on-site engagement, monthly forensic review report, regulatory submission support, contractor performance assessment. Scoped and priced individually.
