What counts as a "subject area enrolment"?
Each worker enrolled in one programme (e.g. IMM Millwright) counts as one enrolment at $49.95 CAD/month. A worker enrolled in two programmes counts as two enrolments. Workers not enrolled in any programme are not billed.
Can I add and remove workers at any time?
Yes. Add new workers or enrolments at any time — they are prorated to your billing cycle. Remove enrolments at any time and billing stops at the next cycle. No penalties for scaling up or down.
How does billing work?
Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually per active enrolment. Access activates immediately on payment. Cancel any time — billing stops at the next monthly cycle. Access is worker-specific and valid for 30 days from enrolment. The worker must complete the exam within that window to receive certification.
What governs the pass gates and certification tiers?
Pass gates are set above governing body standards by design — 90% for Red Seal trades, 95% for SMRP reliability certifications. Candidates who pass the RISL system are over-prepared for their official exams. Tier 1 certificates are valid 2 years; Tier 2 for 6 months.
Which geographies are supported?
All programmes are designed for Canada · USA · Trinidad and Tobago · Caribbean operations, with content mapped to Red Seal (red-seal.ca), SMRP, ISO, ASME, NFPA, OSHA, OH&S, and CSA standards.
What is the RISL TRP integration?
RISL TRP (Training & Readiness Platform) is the parent workforce management system. When live, it will synchronize competency records with work order assignment, contractor scorecards, and maintenance execution data. All plans include TRP integration readiness.
How are certificates issued?
Workers who achieve Tier 1 (90%+) or Tier 2 (70–89%) results receive a downloadable PDF Certificate of Competency or Participation Certificate. Results and certificates are stored in the worker's dashboard and accessible to their employer admin.
Is this accredited by Red Seal or SMRP?
The RISL Living Competency System is an exam preparation and competency verification tool, not a formal accreditation body. It does not replace the official Red Seal interprovincial exam or the SMRP CMRT/CMRP credentialing process — it prepares workers to exceed those standards.
